Angel Tattoos

Like any tattoo design, angel tattoos come in all forms, shapes and sizes. Angels do symbolise deep meanings, including religion, therefore their designs often depict love, strength, protection or grievance.

Angels are messengers, protectors and often a symbol of love, especially for a lost loved one. Due to their sensitive symbolise, angel tattoos are more often than not drawn using dark colours such as black or grey, with deep shading.

The lighter side of the meaning of an angel include innocence, beauty and friendship. Many opt to get angel wings inked onto their bodies to show them as angels themselves. Wings are delicate, soft and beautiful, but also very strong and useful, much like an angel.

As angels live above us, clouds or the sky are often used as a backdrop to an angel tattoo design. To represent serenity and calmness within, angel tattoo designs generally never used to depict violence or hatred, but love and care.

To pay tribute to a lost of loved one, angel tattoo designs are often used. Tattoo lettering is sometimes encorporated to provide the design with a unique finish and show a connection to the dead friend or relative.

The everlasting fight between good and evil, the angel versus the archangel, is often depicted in angel tattoo designs as similarly as humans we often battle between the good and bad in our lives.
